Embeddable event card + TV mode — ModLinQ | ModLinQ

Embeds + TV / observer mode

Your event, on your screens.

ModLinQ's event page is great. But your show probably has its own website too — and on the day, you want the leaderboard up on the projector at the venue. Embeds let you drop a live event card into your own site with a single iframe. TV mode strips the ModLinQ chrome and makes the leaderboard the entire screen, auto-refreshing every 30 seconds.

Embed code

One iframe. Lives anywhere HTML lives.

Your manage page generates a copy-pasteable HTML snippet. Drop it into your WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, custom-built whatever. The iframe pulls the live event card from ModLinQ — date, location, RSVP count, buy button — and stays in sync without you touching it again.

TV / observer mode

Plug a laptop into the venue projector. Done.

Open /events/{slug}/leaderboard?tv=1 on the laptop. The page goes black. The text grows. The leaderboard fills the screen. People's Choice gets a gradient banner, special awards get gold cards, gold/silver/bronze rank badges color-code the standings. Auto-refresh every 30 seconds keeps it live without any action.

Use cases

Where this earns its keep.

1

Existing event website

You already paid your buddy to build a Squarespace site for last year's show. The embed brings live registration into it without a rebuild.

2

Vendor area screens

Project the leaderboard on a TV in the vendor area. Spectators check standings without crowding the announcer.

3

Awards reveal

TV mode renders a clean visual for the live awards reveal — class winners, special awards, People's Choice, all in one shot.

From the platform

Real builds. Real entrants.

These are members' cars on ModLinQ today — exactly the kind of profile context judges and spectators see at events using this feature.

FAQ

Common questions.

Will the embed slow down my site?
It loads in a sandboxed iframe — your page paints instantly, the embed loads independently. Worst case it adds 200-300ms to first contentful paint of the embed itself, not your site.
Can I customize TV mode?
Today TV mode is one preset (black bg, gold accents). Theme variants are on the roadmap if hosts want to match venue colors.
Does TV mode require an internet connection?
Yes — auto-refresh pulls fresh standings every 30s. If you lose internet at the venue, the page keeps showing the last loaded state until you refresh.

Ready to use it?

Free to host. Pay only when you sell. Cancel any time.
