The story

The Neon was my first car. It was built in either October of 2002 or the 2nd of October 2003. I remember when my mother brought it home and how angry I was that she bought me a red Neon. I hated the color and I hated that I had a Neon as well because of the stigma they had at the time and the experience my sister had with hers. However as time went on I fell in love with the Neon and even tho everyone told me to unload it I still own and drive it to this day. I remember when the heater core went out and my mother told me to get rid of it because it was $1,800 for it to be replace but I still paid for it. Then I bottomed out in Baltimore and damaged the transmission pan. The car seat for over 2 years being fixed an then blowing a transmission cooler line repeatedly. Now though after 2 years she is fixed and running. This car was my great escape from most of my problems in life. It was the first car I did over 100mph in. It was the car first learned to work on. It was the car that incouraged me to go to college to become a technician and it was also the car that made me realize I didn't want to be a technician. This Neon had been my only true escape from reality and life's problems. It was always me and my Neon and it was even there for my darkest of times. This car is also the only car I own that still intimidates me when I drive it. I love this car with a passion and plan on having the few things that are damaged replaced no matter how much it costs me. Including the paint that has gotten progressively worse over the years.
